Privacy Policy

Effective August 3, 2026

Flite Society ("we," "us") is a golf club being built in Encinitas, California. This policy describes what we collect on flitesociety.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Contact information you give us. Your email address — and, if you opt in, your mobile number — when you join the interest list; your name, email, and phone number if you apply for a founding membership.
  • Payment information. If and when founding deposits open, payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
  • Site and campaign data. Basic device and usage information, and the campaign tags (UTM parameters) on the link that brought you here.
  • Advertising signals. If our advertising pixel is active, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) may collect device identifiers and browsing signals on this site, as described below.

How we use it

To send you updates about the club — the build, the lease, and when founding memberships open — to process founding deposits, to answer your messages, and to measure whether our ads work. We do not send marketing unrelated to Flite Society.

Text messages (SMS)

If you give us your mobile number and confirm the code we text you, you are opting in to text messages from Flite Society: the verification code itself, and occasional updates — chiefly the day founding memberships open. Message frequency varies and is low. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not remove you from the email list.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. Your number is used only to deliver the messages described above, through our messaging provider (Twilio), and for no other purpose.

Sharing

We use service providers to run this site: Google (email and form storage), Stripe (payments), Twilio (text-message delivery and phone verification), and Vercel (hosting). They process data for us under their own contractual limits.

If our advertising pixel is active, information about your visit is shared with Meta for advertising measurement and audience building. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), this may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money.

Your choices

  • Opt out of sharing. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal — when your browser sends it, the advertising pixel does not load. You can also email us at info@flitesociety.com with the subject "Do Not Share My Personal Information."
  • Unsubscribe. Every email we send includes a way to stop receiving them, or just reply and tell us.
  • Text messages. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help.
  • California rights. California residents may request to know, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about them, and will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Email info@flitesociety.com; we will verify the request via the email address on file.

Retention

We keep interest-list and founding-application information until the club's membership process concludes or you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Payment records are retained as required for tax and accounting.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes will be noted to the interest list.
